with spring comes the thaw. i beckon Him with fire in my throat, as though i were a seafaring bird bearing the Flame of something greater than this misery. as my glacial tomb melts away, my heart beats again to seedlings pushing up from thin soil. the air is diminishing, frost in the absence. latice of complications. hypothermic dreams. this the reason that i am confined to this husk of dullness. surrounded by phantoms. with spring comes the thaw, melting all these flaws.
